EFAD newsflash: Conference, EuDAP webinar, ONCA, Platform, ENDietS

Dear Colleagues,

This week’s newsflash  includes 5 items:

 

1. Registration for the 9th EFAD conference is now open. 

The early bird rate is available until 30 June 2015, so book early and save money www.efadconference.com

Please note: we are limited to 300 delegates this year – another reason to book early to be sure of your place!

 

2. A webinar on the European Dietitians Action Plan (EuDAP) is available on www.efad.org/folders/4907  

 

3. Plan Optimal Nutritional Care for All (ONCA) http://www.european-nutrition.org/index.php/activities

A meeting for the key country representatives from Croatia, Spain, Israel, Poland, Germany, Slovenia, France and Turkey took place on the 17th April in Dubrovnik.  Anne de Looy co-chaired the meeting and attached are one or two slides taken from the presentations made by each country (except Croatia).

Items to look out for;

  • The need for a multi stakeholder approach illustrated from Germany (slide 10)
  • The mapping of units in France which are specifically for nutrition (slide 4)
  • The ‘dashboard’ which is a summary of where each country finds itself (slides 5,6 12) there will be more on the ONCA website
  • The action being taken at country level (slide 7)
  • The Key Performance Indicators for one country (slide 13) these are set for each country

 

4. Members of the Platform were sent the final report of the High level conference

“Healthy lifestyle: nutrition and physical activity for children and young people at schools” containing a summary of the conference sessions and presentations, as well as conclusions and actions to promote a healthier lifestyle for children and young people.

 5. The 3rd ENDietS bulletin is available on http://www.efad.org/everyone/4641/5/0/32.

It gives an update on activities of the European Network for Dietetic Students, including the latest webinars.  Please alert all the students you know to ENDietS
