Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to join us in Melbourne, Australia for the 2011 Annual Conference of the International Society for Behavioral Nutrition and Physical Activity (ISBNPA). The theme of the 2011 Conference is ‘Promoting healthy eating and physical activity: The latest international research’. The local organising committee is proud to be hosting this meeting in Melbourne – Australia’s most exciting and culturally diverse city.

ISBNPA was formed to address the needs of researchers from multiple disciplines with an interest in promoting nutrition and physical activity. The ISBNPA meeting provides a forum to discuss and debate the influences of nutrition and physical activity, and strategies to promote healthy eating and physical activity in a population health context. ISBNPA has members from more than 30 countries around the world and the Annual Conference provides an important opportunity for interaction, networking and sharing of the latest cutting-edge research in the field.

2011 marks the 10th anniversary of the formation of ISBNPA, so the Melbourne Annual Meeting provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the contribution of the Society to the promotion of nutrition and physical activity. Please join us for an informative and exciting program of presentations, debates and interactive workshops. Moreover, take the opportunity to discover Melbourne’s spectacular architecture, ethnic diversity, beautiful parks and gardens and a busy calendar boasting sporting spectaculars and cultural events.

We look forward to seeing you in Melbourne in June 2011!
