EFAD survey – dietitians’ knowledge and use of behaviour change

EFAD LOFOAre you a qualified dietitian working with weight loss patients, and interested in making a significant impact on dietetic practice in Europe?

Do you want to share your knowledge and experience to contribute to behaviour change resources that will support your colleagues in their day to day practice?

Do you want to make a contribution to the evidence base?

EFAD, in collaboration with the University of Bath (UK), the European Food Information Council (EUFIC) and White October (UK), are conducting a survey on the knowledge and use of behaviour change by dietitians in their practice. We will use this information to develop resources aimed at making the behaviour change evidence easily accessible, useful and usable to dietitians across Europe. These resources for dietitians can only be effective when developed in collaboration with dietitians.

The survey is available in English only and is online.

We are inviting all interested dietitians to take part by 30 March 2015.

And as an incentive we are offering one all expenses paid and four free places (registration and accommodation) at the EFAD Conference in Amsterdam 23-24th October 2015 to five dietitians who return the questionnaire by 30 March 2015. The draw for the prizes will take place on 13 April 2015.

We will be collecting the full names and email address of survey participants to be used in the prize draw. These will be kept separate from survey responses and used only for the draw. All personal data will be treated in accordance with the British Data Protection Act.

If you’d like further information on the research or the survey please feel free to contact Dr Michelle Harricharan of the University of Bath at m.harricharan@bath.ac.uk .
